Obituary BERNE -- Donald M. Sperry, 67, died Monday, June 16, 2003 at his residence. Born in Albany, Donald was a resident of Berne for the past 39 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Local #201 in Albany and worked as a house painter until his retirement ten years ago. Also, he was a member of the American Legion Post in Eau Galle, Fla. Survivors include his former wife, June Disbrew of Westerlo; his children, Jabez Sperry of Philadelphia, Pa., Donna-Ann Hotkins of Philadelphia, Donald Sperry of Colonie, Phillip Sperry of East Berne, David Sperry of Rensselaer, Darrel Sperry of East Berne and Jason Sperry of Westerlo; a sister, Donna Jayne Campbell of Foxboro, Mass.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Thorne Warford, Elbert Sperry and Shirley Warford. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville on Friday from 5-7 p.m. and are welcome to stay for a memorial service that will be held at 7:00 p.m. All other services will be private at the convenience of the family.
