Birth
Charles Armstrong was born in Knox on August 5, 1826, the youngest son of John Armstrong Jr. (1784-1879) and Tahpenes Williams (1788-1859).
Marriage & Children
Charles married Eliza Wolford (4/20/1830 - 1/3/1875) and they had one child
- Erskine Wolford Armstrong (9/16/1858 - 1939), m. Elizabeth Barton in 1891. She was born 5/12/1873.
- They had two children: Barton (5/8/1895 - 5/18/1988) and Leland (3/8/1912 - 5/11/2005)
Death
Charles died on October 27, 1872, and is buried with his wife Eliza, in Gallupville Rural Cemetery in nearby Schoharie County.

Leland E. Armstrong
WRIGHT — Leland E. Armstrong, formerly of Knox Road, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home where he had resided since 2002. He was 93.
Mr. Armstrong was born March 8,1912 in the town of Wright, a sonof Erskine and Elizabeth (Barton) Armstrong. He was a lifelong resident of the town of Wright in Schoharie County. He was educated in the town of Wright one-room schoolhouse.
Mr. Armstrong was the owner and operator of the Armstrong family farm on Knox Road for all of his adult life. He was a member of the Gallupville United Methodist Church and the Dairyman's League.
His brother, Barton Armstrong, died on May 19, 1988.
He is survived by many friends and neighbors in the area.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 14 from the Langan Funeral Home in Schoharie. Burial was in the Armstrong family lot in the Gallupville Rural Cemetery in Gallupville. Reverend Jay Francis, Pastor of the Rock Road Chapel Ministries, officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallupville United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 22, Gallupville, NY 12073.
