''[[WESTERLO]] -- Robert E. Fisher Jr., died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at the Villa Mary Immaculate Nursing Home, after a long illness. Bob was born in Hammon, IN and lived in Westerlo for 32 years. Mr. Fisher was a 25 year veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a non-commissioned officer of the Army, retiring in 1968. More recently, he worked as purchasing director at Albany Medical Center Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1991. Bob is the beloved stepfather of Ross M. Meo and his wife, Peg of Charlton. He is the cherished step-grandfather of Jonathan and Michael Meo and Reed and Tina Thompson and their children, Courtney and Alexis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private in the Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205, in memory of Robert E. Fisher.''
