Ernestine Hiltsley

Ernestine Hiltsley, 88, formerly of Knox, died Sunday at a nursing home in Carlisle, Pa. Born in Altamont, she lived in the Knox area until moving to Carlisle In 1985.

She was a graduate of Albany High School and the Albany Bible Institute and taught for many years in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District. She was a member of the Reformed Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth H. Gibbs of Knox and Catherine H. Wood of Torrance, Calif.; and a brother, Wendell S. Hiltsley of Clarksville.

Services were held this morning at Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial was in Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie. Contributions may be made to the Albany Bible Institute.
