Mr. Quay married Virginia Nobles (April 30, 1917 - October 21, 2004) on March 24, 1946 and they had four daughters--Winona, Sandra, Judith and Cynthia Quay; and a son, Roger E. Quay.

Mr. Quay worked for the General Electric Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1974 as a group leader in a powerhouse. Many years ago, he worked for the Albany County Highway Department.
