WESTERLO Robert Bruce "Bob" McCormick, Sr., 81, died June 25 at Apple Valley Care Center in CA of artherosclerotic heart disease. Born in Albany, he ran a milk route there, then picked up milk cans for delivery to local dairies, and later operated a dairy farm for 25 years in Westerlo. In 1973, he moved to CA. There, he started collecting minerals as a hobby. He made jewelry, and was a member and board member of the Victor Valley Gem and Mineral Club. He served in the Atlantic as a US Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his friend, Nancy Molberg of Victorville, CA; 3 daughters: Nanette McCormick of Guilderland. Marjorie Grotz of Miller Place (Suffolk Co.), and Georgianan Oliver of Guilderland; a son, Robert B. McCormick, Jr. of Slingerlands; a sister, Isabelle Bourguignon of East Wenatchee, WA; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church, 2009 New Scotland Rd. (Rte. 85), Slingerlands, NY 12159. Family and friends will gather after the service at the home of Mickey Oliver, 100 Ehrsam Ln., Guilderland (off Gardner Road.)
