Birth
George Blade was born in Berne[1] at about 1838[2], a son of Nicholas Blade and Hannah Yager[3] and a brother to William Blade who also served in the Civil War.
Marriage & Children
At about 1860, George married Laura[4] Swartout[2] who was born in Rensselaerville at about 1840. Laura was the daughter of Myndert C. Swartout and Susan Ann_____.[2]. They had the following children:
