—Mr. Jesse Stafford, who lives in the Bozenkill Hollow, recently shot a bird near his home, measuring 6 feet from tip to tip of wings, and which the knowing ones pronounced a bald eagle. It's head was certainly bald but further than this your deponent saith not. Where it came from is a mystery. It certainly was a foreigner to these parts.

Jesse H. Stafford; 73, died Friday morning, July 9, at his home, 2 Wagner avenue, Schenectady.

Born in Altamont Sept. 28, 1874, Mr. Stafford went to Schenectady when a young man and entered the General Electric company. He worked there until four years ago when he retired. Since that time he had been engaged in cabinet making.

He was the son of the late Edward and Vrinea Stafford of Altamont. He was a member of Stanford Methodist Church, and of Champion Lodge, I. O. O. F., of Schenectady.
