Obituary
Elmer J. Zeh, 86, oldest member of the Schenectady Exempt Firemen's Association, died Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Everett Zeh of 1148 Dean St., Schenectady. His sudden death was attributed to natural causes.
Born in Berne April 29, 1866, Mr. Zeh went to Schenectady in 1886. He was employed at General Electric as a cabinet maker many years and retired in 1930.
Other survivors are five grandchildren. Clark R. and Ronald E. Zeh and Mrs. Alva J. Freeman of Schenectady, Mrs. William Grinter of Scotia and Mrs. Edward Barry of Pittsfield, Mass.; also several great-grandchildren. He was the husband of the late Elfreda Van Naten Zeh. Rev. Tarrence F. Ogden, pastor of Trinity Methodist church, officiated at the funeral Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Vale cemetery.
