William Miner Chrysler was born in Knox on March 19, 1847, a son of William Chrysler and Lucy Siple. [1] He was a brother to Erskine Chrysler who died as a result of his service in the Civil War.

His Life
He was a well known nurse in his younger years, often gone for weeks caring for patients throughout the area. [2] He was an active member of the Charles McCulloch Post No. 645, G.A.R., and was an elected officer within that organization for many years. [2]

Death
Miner died on April 19, 1922 in West Berne, NY.[3] His wife, Mary, died on September 22, 1927 at the home of her daughter in Schenectady[2]
Obituary
Miner Chrysler departed this life April 19th. (1922) He had just passed his 75th birthday, March 19th. He had only been ill a few hours and death came very unexpected. He leaves to mourn his loss, and invalid wife, who is in her 74 year, four daughters, Mrs. Peter S. Bradt of West Berne, Mrs. Flora Palmer of Albany, Mrs. William Shutter of Albany, Mrs. Frank Sheer of Schenectady; two sons, Winfield Chrysler of Central Bridge and Seth Chrysler of Schenectady; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. He was an ideal father and a good neighbor and will be missed in many homes where he was always present in case of sickness. In his younger days he followed nursing, making typhoid fever a specialty. May the all wise Father watch over and comfort the bereaved ones.
