Birth

Samuel Dietz was born in April of 1841 at Berne, NY, the son of David Dietz and Martha Wright. He was a brother to Eli Dietz, who also served in the Civil War.

Death

Samuel died on January 12, 1915 at Selkirk, NY.[3] He was buried at the Elmwood Cemetery in Bethlehem. His wife, Emily, died on September 1, 1933 and is buried beside him.
