Birth
Franklin (Frank) was born in the Town of Berne, about 1852, oldest of five sons, to Andrew J. Adams and Sophia Catherine Shultes.
Education
Occupation
In Frank's younger years was spent on the family farm, moving to Knox later took up farming for himself. He seved as town constable in Knox for 25 years later moving to Altamont.
Marriage & Children
Frank married Luella Niemeyer about 1874 in Knox.
Death
Frank died in March 1937, at his home in Altamont. Funeral services were held at Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont with the Rev. O.E. Voigt, D.D, burial took place in Vale Cemetery, in Schenectady.

Aged Resident Dies
FRANK ADAMS DIES AT AGE OF 85; ONE OF OLDER CITIZENS
Served The Towns Of Knox And Guilderland For Many Years as Constable
Frank Adams, veteran peace officer of the towns of Guilderland and Knox, and one of Altamont's oldest residents, died Wednesday at his home. He was 86. Mr. Adams was born in Berne, the oldest of a family of five boys. His early years were spent in that village where his father owned a large farm. When a young man he moved to Knox to take up farming for himself. There, 63 years ago, he married Luella Niemeyer, who survives him.
About 30 years ago he moved to Altamont, turning from farming to carpentry. Later he entered the fish business. Active in Republican political circles, he served as town constable here for many years. Previous to coming to Altamont, he was town constable in Knox for 25 years. He retired from active business life about 10 years ago, and since then has spent most of his time at his home east of the village. Up to a short time ago. Mr. Adams enjoyed the best of health despite his age.
The funeral will he held this (Friday) morning at 11 o'clock at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial will be in Vale cemetery, Schenectady. Rev. O. E. Voigt, D. D., pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, Altamont, will officiate.
Besides his wife he leaves two brothers, John of Berne and Clark of Albany, both past 80 years of age. He had four nieces and seven nephews.
