Additional Information
In the original documents in the British Museum Library os a list of Germans who came to England in 1709. Board of Trade, Miscellanous Vol 2 D 57: "A list of poor Germans came over from Palatinate into this kingdom. Taken in St Catharine's the sixth of May 1709" On the first list of May 6, 1709: "Christopher Werner, Age 33 and his wife and one son 1 year old, no daughter. Luteran, Husbandman, vine dresser" In 1710, Christopher Werner, age 35, with Magdalena, age 25, and one son, Matthes age 3, sailed from England (January 10, 1710) on ship Lydon (LYON) and arrived in America June 3, 1710. Christopher and family did not go to the Camp on the Hudson immediately, but remained in New York in 1710. In 1717 Christopher and Magdalena were at New Stuttgary, NY with three children.
