George Garry. 69, of Long Road, East Berne, died Thursday, Jan. 14, at St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, after a long illness. He was born in Bloomfield, N.J., Aug. 15, 1918, the son of Charles and Johanna Garry.
He was a World War II Army veteran and worked as a machinist for General Electric for 16 years.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Haluska Garry, four daughters, Joan Morrow, Susan Michaels, Barbara Pitcher and Elaine Decker, all of Berne; two sons, Thomas and Michael Garry, both of Berne; one brother, Harry Garry of Mast Berne, Severn' grandchildren and one greatgrandson.
Garry's funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 16, at St. Bernadette's in Berne. Burial will take place in the spring in Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne. Arrangements were by Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
Contributions in Mr. Garry's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association. 50 Colvin Ave . Albany, N.Y. 12206.
