Birth

Frank Ostrander was born on the Ostrander farm in 1873 (had always lived there), the son the late Margaret Jane Ostander and William Ostrander. His sisters were:

  • Mrs. John Richards of Settles' Hill
  • Mrs. Walter Wood of Schenectady
  • Mrs. Peter Tygert of Guilderland Center.

Frank H. Ostrander, 60, died suddenly of heart trouble Tuesday night (Decmber 12, 1933) at the Ostrander homestead in Bozenkill Hollow, a few miles south of Duanesburgh.

Frank H. Ostrander Died Tuesday Night, Dec. 12

Frank H. Ostrander, 60, died suddenly of heart trouble Tuesday night at the Ostrander homestead in Bozenkill Hollow, a few miles south of Duanesburgh. Mr. Ostrander, the son of the late Margaret Jane Ostander and William Ostrander, was born on the Ostrander farm in 1873, and had always lived there.

Mr. Ostrander is survived by his wife, Catherine Bradt Ostrander; four sons, Alva, Frank, Steven, and William Ostrander; three daughters, Ethel, Lena and Florence Ostrander, all living at home. three sisters, Mrs. John Richards of Settles' Hill' Mrs. Walter Wood of Schenectady; and Mrs. Peter Tygert of Guilderland Center.

Mr. Ostrander was a member of Lee's Methodist church.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from Fredendall's funeral parlors in Altamont. The Rev. Foster W. Taylor, pastor of the Delanson Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Prospect Hill cemetery, Guilderland.

—The funeral of William Ostrander, of Schenectady, was held from his late residence, 712 Campbell avenue, on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. He is survived by a wife. The interment took place at Prospect Hill cemetery.
