Robert Dexter was born Monday, August 24, 1936, the son of Luther Dexter and Minnie Dexter. His brothers and sisters were:
- Merlin Dexter, Schenectady,
- Mildred Hoffman, Schenectady,
- Charles Dexter, Knox
- Shirley Dexter, Knox
- Nancy Dexter, Knox
- Richard Dexter, Knox
- Barbara Dexter, Troy.

Robert married Carol A. Miltner. Their children were:
- Rachel Dexter
- Jennifer Dexter
Death
Robert Died March 5, 1986. He was buried in the Knox Cemetery.
Obituary
DEXTER — March 5 1986; Robert F. Dexter of Knox,, husband of Carol A. Dexter, father of Rachel and Jennifer Dexter both at home. Son of Minnie Dexter, Knox and the late Luther Dexter; brother of Merlin Dexter, Schenectady, Mildred Hoffman, Schenectady, Charles, Shirley, Nancy and Richard Dexter all of Knox, and Barbara Dexter; Troy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services; from the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, Saturday at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends may call Friday, 7-9 p.m. Spring interment in Knox Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions to the Berne Ambulance Fund; Berne, N.Y.- 12023.
