Irene Norma Bessler was born about 1913 in GUilderland.
Education
Irene Gage was a graduate of the former Altamont High School and the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Albany.
Occupation
Mrs. Gage moved to Knox in 1939 and helped run the family farm with her husband, Ernest W. Gage, who died in 1994.

KNOX - Mrs. Irene N. Gage, 88, died Saturday at the Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland.
Mrs. Gage was born in Guilderland. She was a graduate of the former Altamont High School and the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Albany.
Mrs. Gage moved to Knox in 1939 and helped run the family farm with her husband, Ernest W. Gage, who died in 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. Gage of Knox; two sons, James E. Gage of Knox and Howard R. Gage of St. Johnsville; and three grandchildren.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St., Altamont. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Hospital Alumni Association, Albany.
