Birth
Catharine Emeline was born September 24, 1824 in Berne, NY, the daughter of Jacob Settle, Jr. and Cornelia R. Walden, daughter of Minor Walden, who was one of the pioneers in Berne, coming from Vermont about 1809. Her siblings were:[1]
