Birth
Doctor was born in May of 1764 in Greenwich, CT. When he was a young child his family moved to Salem, Westchester Co., NY where he grew to an adult. His known sibling:

Military
In 1780 he enlisted as a private at Salem, NY and served under Captain Lawrence in Colonel Crane’s Regiment for a term of one month.
He was drafted into service in the same Regiment in September of 1780 for a term of two months.
In April of 1781 he again enlisted as a substitute for one month in place of Petit Loder and was discharged in August of 1781.
In September of 1781 he again enlisted for a term of three months and served under Captain Hunt in Colonel Werenfelt’s Regiment.
In June of 1782 he volunteered as a substitute for his brother, Solomon Smith, in Colonel Crane’s Regiment. He served through August of 1782 and returned home.
Marriage & Children
On May 24, 1785 he married Kezia Cross at the Church Of Christ, Salem, Westchester Co.,New York.
Death
His exact date of death and his place of burial are not known. His final pension payment was for the 1st Quarter of 1841.
