Birth
Simon was born on September 19, 1755 in Amenia, Dutchess Co., NY.
Marriage & Children
On October 31, 1779 at Amenia, he married Abigail Hubbell who was also born in Amenia on July 10, 1763, a daughter of Ichabod Hubblee and Isabell Wakelee[1]. The known children of Simon and Abigail were:
- Abigail Whitcomb was born on May 22, 1798. She married Jacob Gossman
- Submit Whitcomb was born on January 26, 1802. She married John Boomhower
- Louis Whitcomb was born June 30, 1780.
- Roswell Whitcomb was born on January 1, 1784
- Altanah Whitcomb was born on July 15, 1787. She married Jacob Dixson and lived in Fulton County, NY
- Asenath Whitcomb was born on January 25, 1792.
- Finetta Whitcomb was born on November 26, 1804
Death
Simon died in Westerlo on December 20, 1842. Abigail died on January 3, 1848 in Westerlo.
