My wife and I were greatly saddened to read in the Nov. 5 Enterprise of the death of Flora Becker. We noted that we were named as her friends and I guess we were that for she certainly was a friend to us.
When we arrived in Altamont in 1947. Ginny was recovering from about with polio and desperately
needed help in the house and with our small children We were put in touch with Flora and she agreed to help out She did this for over 25 years and there never was a more cheerful, cooperative and willing person in the world. I think she considered us as part of her family
and we felt the same way. Her passing has created a void in our lives.
