Ted was born June 9,1915 in Knox NY. He had a brother Willis "Kelly" Quay and a sister Louise Quay

Ted received his schooling in Altamont NY

Occupation

Ted worked for the Knox highway dept., was a bus mechanic for Berne-Knox school and in 1946 he bought a garage in East Berne (Quay's Garage) which he operated until he retired in 1986.

Marriage & Children

Theodore Quay married Margaret "Peg" Catherine Griessel on Dec. 2,1939. Their marriage produced three children:

  • Barbara b-2/23/1941 -Barbara Hoerning of East Berne, , Maryland married George J Hoerning, Jr., son of George J. Hoerning, Sr.
  • Theodore b-09/10/1944 - Theodore R. Quay of Frederick

QUAY — Dec; 18, Theodore R. Quay of East Berne, husband of Margaret G. Quay, father of Barbara Hoerning of East Berne, Theodore R. Quay of Frederick, Maryland and Nancy Q. Milner, of Westerlo.
