Knox Man Killed As His Truck Tips
A 26-year-old Town of Knox man was killed last Thursday, night when his pick-up truck rolled over twice as he entered his driveway.
As Richard C. Stevens entered his driveway from Route 156 near Route 157, the wheels on one side went off a three-foot embankment into the farm field, State Police at Selkirk said.
The car rolled over, throwing out two passengers who were not hurt. The truck landed right-side up in the field. When the two rushed to help Stevens out, they found him dead in the driver's seat.
Stevens died of head and internal injuries, according to Albany County Coroner DeForest Deitz, Jr.
The passengers were David Stevens, 22, the dead man's brother, and Donald Ostrander, 20, both of Knox.
The accident happened at 9:15 p. m, police said.
