He was quite successful, beginning with nothing, but by hard work accumulated a good property and owned 180 acres. He spent most of his life in Guilderland. His wife was Elizabeth Pitcher, daughter of Peter Pitcher, who was a farmer in the town of Knox; their children were Henry, Caroline, Eliza and Mathias. Mr. Fredendall and his wife were members of the Lutheran church. He died in 1890 and she died in 1889, at the age of seventy years.
