Perrin, a lover of crocheting, gardening, and cooking, always put her family first. “She put everybody else in front of her,” said her daughter, Christina Perrin. “Everything she did, it was always for us kids, and her husband, my father. She had the biggest heart in the entire world.” She died on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was 63.

“Growing up, we had friends, and all our friends loved and called our parents Mom and Dad,” Ms. Perrin said. “And, believe it or not, all six of us kids are adopted.” Michael Perrin expressed similar sentiments about his mother. “She always made this house a home for anybody,” he said.
