GUILDERLAND — Eleanor D. Keenholts, known to friends and family as “Susie,” died on Saturday, July 14, 2011, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland. She was 92.

Mrs. Keenholts was born on Jan. 17, 1920, the daughter of the late William and Agnes (néeWilliamson) Salsburgh, in Berne. She was a long-time resident of Altamont, along with her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Elmore C. Keenholts, who died before her.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark Keenholts, and his wife, Nancy, of East Greenbush, and Scott Keenholts, and his wife, Regina, of Guilderland; her grandchildren, Marcy Wilson, and her husband, Garett, of Ballston Spa, Douglas Keenholts, and his wife, Meghan, of East Greenbush, and Andrew and Devon Keenholts, of Guilderland; and her great-grandchildren, Gregory, Madalyn, and Annie Wilson, and Ellie and Sage Keenholts.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of the Fatima Unit of Our Lady of Mercy for their seven years of compassionate care. A funeral was held on July 17 at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Online condolences may be left at www.fredendallfuneralhome. com.
