Word has been received here of the November 10 death of Rose Hazel Drezelo Summer Pletcher in the Presbyterian Hospital of Charlotte, North Carolina. Graveside service was held at the National Cemetery of Salisbury, North Carolina with the Rev. George Gilbert of the Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Born December 10, 1921 near Buffalo, Rosie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Drezelo who later moved their family to this area. She grew up on the family farm on Switzkill Road ad attended Berne-Knox High School. She later earned her degree in Early Childhood Education at the State College in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was the widow of Frank G. H. Summer and of Richard Pletcher and the mother of Franklin G. H. Summer, who is in a veterans hospital in Greenfield, Massachusetts following a head injury in Army service. Her younger son Charles G. H. Summers, was killed in Vietnam.
