+Mrs. Hochstrasser continued the family tradition of enjoying the Altamont Enterprise. In February 1937 her grandfather Elias Warner wrote that he believed he was then the oldest continuous reader; he had been a continuous subscriber since The Enterprise started in 1884 with David Crow and prior to that had subscribed to the Golden Era published by Rev. J. E. Klock. After his passing his daughter Grace Strevell continued the paper and granddaughter Helen Hochstrasser was a third-generation reader until her passing last week.
