Mr. Stolzfus was a service manager for Main-Care Heating Co., formerly Herzog and Hopkins in Colonie for 42 years, retiring in 1991. For the last two years, he delivered blades for Tri-City Saw and Tool Co. in Schenectady.

Knox--A service was held Tuesday for Richard S. Stoltzfus, 69, of Township Road, who died Saturday in Albany Medical Center Hospital. Mr. Stoltzfus was born in Gap, Pennsylvania. He moved to Knox in 1968. During World War II, he served as a tailgunner in the Navy. Mr. Stolzfus was a service manager for Main-Care Heating Co., formerly Herzog and Hopkins in Colonie for 42 years, retiring in 1991. For the last two years, he delivered blades for Tri-City Saw and Tool Co. in Schenectady. He was past master of the Berne Masonic Lodge 684 and a patron of the Uhai Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Turnpike Rod and Gun Club in Westerlo, and the American Legion Post in Mechanicville and a charter member of the Plank Roaders. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Mr. Stoltzfus has travelled in the Cayman Islands, British West Indies, Saint Croix and places in the United States where his son David has worked as a chef. Survivors include his wife, Colleen Hutton Stoltzfus; a daughter, Diana Brown of Knox; three sons--David Stoltzfus of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Richard Moran and Robert Moran; three sisters--Kathryn Miller of Gap, Betty Davis of Parkesburg, Pennsylvania and Sandra Villarreal of Burke, Virginia; two brothers, Robert and James Stoltzfus, both of Gap; and two grandchildren, David and Erinn Brown; and a son-in-law, Howard Brown. A service was held Tuesday at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Berne Masonic Lodge or Uhai Chapter, OES in Berne.

The service will be at 8 p.m. in the Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St., Altamont. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
