Dudley Sholtes was born on April 13, 1880 one of nine children of [[Stanton Sholtes]] and [[Ida Gibbs]]

Dudley Sholtes married Lottie Fort and their union produced five children:
*Alton Sholtes
*Wallace Sholtes
*Kenneth Sholtes born about 1910 and died before 1988
*Budella Sholtes born in 1913 and died in 1988
