==Death==
At sometime between 1870 and 1880, Silas, his wife and their son Franklin, moved to Knox County, Nebraska where Silas died in 1907 (1908<ref name="Civil War Pension Records"> Civil War Pension Records @ Fold3.com</ref>). His wife, Sarah, died in 1916. Both are buried at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Knox Co., Nebraska.
