==Birth==
Edward Crary Denison was born in Berne on January 4, 1825, a son of Thomas Crary Denison and Gertrude (Charity) Shultes <ref name="Berne History">Berne NY Family files, www.bernehistory.org </ref> He was a brother of Jesse Denison who served and died on his return home from a disability discharge.

==Marriage & Children== 
He married Ursula, his first wife at about 1855. <ref name="Berne History"/> It appears that the name Ursula as given on the 1860 census was incorrect. His wife was named Margaret and they had a daughter, Lilly Denison.

After Margaret's death, Edward, in his 70's, married Lovisa Welch, the widow of his brother, Minor Denison.
