==Life==
In 1850 Jacob was living in Westerlo with his father George, a laborer, his mother and three siblings.<ref name="1850Census"/> Jacob Boyce was recorded in the 1890 US Veterans Census as living in Westerlo, however no data was recorded on him.<ref name="1890Census">1890 US Veterans Census, Westerlo, Albany Co, NY</ref> He has not been found in other censuses so the man is a mystery at this time.

He died before May 7, 1880, the date his mother received a pension for his service in Company A of the 25th NY Infantry, N.G.<ref name="Civil War Pension Records"> Civil War Pension Records @ Fold3.com</ref>
