'''WESTERLO''' -- ''Douglas G. Bailey, 82, died Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Doug was born in Ravena and has lived in Westerlo for 28 years. He was an Army veteran serving in the medical corps during World War II. Doug was a medical technician at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany for 28 years retiring in 1979. He was a member and former elder of the Westerlo Reformed Church, a 50 year member and past commander of the Ravena American Legion Post #114, a life member of the Ravena Hose Co., charter member of the Ravena Rescue Squad, former member of the Westerlo Basic Valley Fish and Game Club and member and former officer of the Hudson Valley National Campers and Hikers Assoc. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Carr Bailey of Westerlo; two children, Sylvia J. Bailey of Spencer, NY and George D. Bailey of Westerlo; four brothers, Rene of Ravena, Calvert of Oneonta, John of Ravena and Richard of New Rochelle and many nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Theodore, Harvey and Raymond Bailey and two sisters, Annetta Roosa and Leola Wilt, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held 10:00 Wednesday morning, May 2, 2001 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will be in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore. Friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday, 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contribution to the Westerlo Reformed Church, Rt. 143, Westerlo, NY 12193, would be appreciated.''&lt;br /&gt;
