Born in the town of Westerlo, Mr. Snyder lived in the Westerlo area all his life. He was a retired foreman for the Albany County Highway Department, where he worked for 44 years. He was a member of the Westerlo Volunteer Fire Co., the Westerlo Democratic Club, the Westerlo Rod and Gun Club and the Helderberg Hilltoppers Club. Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Bolen Snyder; two sons, Kenneth Elsasser of Dormansville and Martin Elsasser of Columbia Md; four sisters, Viola Hallenbeck of Westerlo, Mary Tompkins of Dormansville, Anna Kuhar of Rensselaerville and Catherine Latham of Westerlo; four brothers, George Snyder, Frederick Snyder and Robert Snyder all of Westerlo, and Henry Snyder of Albany; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The service will be in the Cunningham Funeral Home, West Street, Greenville, Greene County. Burial will be in Hannacroix Rural Cemetery, Dormansville. Calling Hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.''
