Car racing on Warner's Lake

The first car races held on the ice at Warner's Lake were sponsored by the East Berne fire company as a fund raiser. A trend was started and snowmobile and motorcycle races soon followed. There are still races held here today if the ice conditions are safe. There were no races for the last two year, 2010-211 and 2011-2012, due to the thin ice conditions. A minimum of at least 6 inches or more of good hard ice is required for racing. All races are held at the Hofbrau at the north end of the lake.
