Dear Brethren:

The present anniversary finds us still maintaining though feebly, a form of church life. The year past has been marked by no special token of spiritual life & vigor among us, nor have we been permitted to welcome any new converts to share with us the good hope of eternal life; we owe it to the faithful labors of brother T. Fisher that public worship is still sigularly [sic] maintained among us.
We in Township & the membership in Bern still continue to enjoy his ministrations on Alternate Sabbaths. Although so few in number we have been called to sustain the loss of two faithful & tried brethren, one of them having served the Church for many years as deacon the other testifying in extreme old age the faithful success of his God in a dying hour.
With these exceptions there has no changes in our membership. Our membership is (32) thirty two.
The following are the delegates Eld T. Fisher

Annual Letter to the Association.

The Baptist Church of Bern & Knox to the Rensselaerville Association

Dear Brothers:

In accordance with our established usage we present this our annual letter to this association.
The present anniversary finds us still maintaining though feebly, a form of church worship The meetings held in our Church last autumn by Elder Becker, Moore

and Smith were well attended and a deep interest manifested, which has proven a blessing to our church.

We have not been permitted to welcome any new converts to join with us on the good way to our Heavenly Home.
We have been called to mourn the loss of Bro. Mahar [sic], with this exception there has been no change in our membership, the present number being eleven.
We owe it to the faithful labors of Bro. Becker that public worship is still kept up in our church, public exercises every four weeks at 10 o'clock A.M. and in the evening.
We return our thanks for the interest that the association has taken in our welfare during the last year in contributing to our church, and hope it may go to build us up and in some future day be a self-sustaining church. Spiritually we are living below our priveliges [sic] — union and harmony prevailing

among us.
