Mill Pond Dam
Berne mill pond dam is to the east on Fox Creek as you cross the bridge in the center of the hamlet of Berne. It was first built as a wood dam about 1751 by Jacob Weidman to create a mill pond for Weidman's Mills. Later the mill pond provided water to power Simmons Axe Factory, Berne Carding and Fulling Mills, and Berne Grist Mill.
