The ice fishermen held a carp fishing tournament each summer for several years. The funds they raised plus some financial support from the Warner Lake Improvement Association, enabled them to purchase Walleye fingerlings, a total of about 5000 plus fingerlings were released into Warner Lake over the next few years.
This reestablished a fish species that was present in the lake many years ago but has been absent for the last 50 years. All photo's in this section are from the Willard Osterhout collection.
