The South end of the lake includes Mill Dam Rd, O'Hanlon Lane, Cocoa Lane and Pine Knoll Lane, photo courtesy of Willard Osterhout

The first use of the south end of the lake occurred when Henry Bin's opened it for picnics and bathing. Eventually he built some rustic cabins that people could rent by the week or season. The first telephone on the lake was installed here. Over the years the property was known as Pitcher's Camp, Robert's Grove, Vunck's, Cocoa's and O'Hanlons. During the time that Vunck's owned the property many of the 22 rental camps were sold and became private residences. At the present time there are no commercial enterprises located at the south end of the lake. The dam that was built by Malachi Whipple was located in the southeast corner of the lake. Rights to the dam were purchased by the Warner Lake Improvement Association in 1964 and the old wooden dam was replaced with a new concrete structure.
